Case Study: Multiple Bending Processes for Fine Springs

Case Study: Spring Manufacturer with Varying needs

Model: TM-8A Wire Forming Machine and SH-3A Wire Coiling Machine

Issue: Our client, a manufacturer of springs for a wide range of products, from transportation equipment to optical instruments, had a need for springs that required multiple bending processes. They were spending a number of man-hours on preparing the springs to maintain their quality and length.

Our Solution: The client brought on board the SH-3A Coiling Machine and the TM-8A Wire Forming Machine to improve efficiency. The SH-3A Coiling Machine includes a bending function and has a short feed distance from its feed roller, making it more consistent than the earlier models our client had used.

After we introduced the TM-8A Wire Forming Machine, it was easier than ever to measure the free length of springs thanks to its new motor sensor system. As an added bonus, the parts are interchangeable with the older machines on the client's floor.
